Measure scheduled portions

An automatic feeder’s portion setting is not an exact dietary prescription. Test the PawHut camera feeder using your own dry food, weigh the dispensed amount and programme it around the appropriate daily allowance. Check power, app connection and any backup requirements before depending on the schedule.

Maintain drinking equipment

Clean a fountain’s tank, pump and removable parts according to its instructions, and check water levels regularly. A large reservoir or a fitted filter does not remove the need for fresh water and cleaning. Keep the correct Fontanello filter available if that is the model you use.

Organise the feeding corner

A food container, feeding mat and spare bowl serve separate supporting roles. Check dimensions and compatibility before ordering and keep food packaging information where needed. For food-based play rather than a full feeding setup, dog toys and enrichment offers mats and searching activities.

Dog feeding and water: your questions answered

Is a raised bowl best for every dog?

No universal recommendation follows from the product design. Compare the UpFeed Pro station with your dog’s size and comfortable eating position, and seek veterinary advice when feeding posture relates to a health concern.
Can the automatic feeder hold wet food?

The PawHut camera feeder is specified for dry food within its stated kibble-size range. Do not put wet food into a hopper intended for dry kibble. Check the instructions for each model separately.
Does a fountain filter fit any fountain?

No. The Fontanello replacement filter is model-specific. Match the exact fountain and pack contents before ordering; similarly named filters are not automatically interchangeable.
Do I still need to clean a filtered fountain?

Yes. The Fontanello still needs water checks and cleaning of its tank and pump. Follow the maintenance instructions rather than relying on the filter or reservoir capacity to keep everything ready indefinitely.
Are a spare bowl and a complete feeding station the same product?

No. An extra stainless-steel bowl for UpFeed Pro is a component, while the UpFeed Pro station is the full setup. Check the title, variant and box contents before buying.
