Separate rest and play

Start with the job you want the product to do. A cooling mat is a resting surface; the AquaPaw water sensory mat is a filled sensory-play product with its own setup instructions. Choose a size and material that suit your dog, and remove either product if chewing or damage begins.

Fit the individual dog

Measure rather than choosing solely by breed or a familiar size label. A cooling vest, summer shoes and a buoyancy jacket each use different measurements. Check movement and fastening tension during the first short trial, and recheck the fit after the product has been wetted or used as instructed.

Prepare for water time

Inspect the base and sides of the folding pool before filling it and keep the setup clear of sharp objects. For swimming, a dog life jacket must be correctly fitted and used with close supervision. A pool, sprinkler mat and buoyancy jacket are not interchangeable safety equipment.

Care between warm days

Follow the cleaning method for the actual product: a fabric cooling bed, a gel mat and a water-play mat cannot all go through the same wash. Let stored items dry as directed and inspect seams, plugs and fasteners before reuse. Keep ordinary fresh drinking water available separately through suitable dog bowls and water products.

What is the difference between the cooling mats?

The flat Coolivo mat uses a gel-based design, while the Coolivo Comfort bed combines cooling fabric with padding and raised edges. Choose by your dog’s resting style and the product’s dimensions, and follow each model’s own care instructions.
Does the cooling vest need water?

Yes. The Detixy cooling vest is an evaporative design: wet it and wring it out as instructed, then rewet when required. Check the size and keep monitoring conditions. It does not make prolonged activity in excessive heat appropriate.
Is a sprinkler mat the same as a dog pool?

No. The sprinkler mat uses a hose connection to create water play, while the folding dog pool holds water in a sided basin. Compare footprint, setup and your dog’s preferences, and supervise either activity throughout.
Will a life jacket keep my dog safe without help?

No. A dog life jacket with chin float provides buoyancy support but cannot replace close supervision, a correct fit or suitable water conditions. Introduce it gradually and follow its instructions. It is not a cooling vest and should not be chosen for that purpose.
Can summer shoes make hot-weather walks safe?

Shoes do not remove the risks of excessive heat or very hot ground. The SolStep summer shoes are footwear that must fit the paws correctly. Choose appropriate conditions and a comfortable route first, and do not treat shoes as permission to extend a hot walk.
