Check portions with real food

Different kibble shapes can affect what a portion setting delivers. Test the automatic feeder with the food you actually use and weigh the output before relying on the programme. Review its Wi-Fi, power and backup details, and arrange normal care rather than treating the device as a substitute for someone checking your cat.

Compare stations carefully

A combined MealStream fountain and bowl and an adjustable feeding station provide different arrangements. Compare access, bowl depth, footprint and the individual cat’s comfortable position. Do not infer a medical benefit solely from a raised, tilted or ridged design.

Keep maintenance compatible

Order the correct replacement filter and follow the separate instructions for pumps, tanks, bowls and electronics. A filter does not eliminate the need to clean the fountain. For supervised food activities rather than everyday feeding equipment, browse cat toys and enrichment.
