All Cat Products

257 products

The full Petifo cat range as one list, so you can sort, filter and compare in one place instead of moving between categories. The notes below point to the part of the list that answers each common problem; for themed browsing with more buying advice, use for cats. For play options, explore cat toys and enrichment.

Where to Start

Nearly every cat home needs the same handful of things: a tray, a scratching surface, somewhere high, a water source and a brush. A self-adhesive scratching mat and a donut tunnel bed cost little and cover the two things a cat asks for first, which are somewhere to claw and somewhere to hide. If the cat is new to you, keep the shopping to that plus a tray and leave the rest of this list for a fortnight, because a settled cat tells you far more about what it wants than a frightened one does.

Litter and Odour Control

Smell is nearly always a scooping problem before it is a litter problem, and placement matters as much as the product: a tray in a busy corridor gets used less than one in a quiet corner. Beyond the trays themselves in litter boxes and accessories, the AirClean litter box air purifier works at the tray rather than in the room, and a scoop with its own holder makes the daily job quick enough that it actually happens. For the fur that ends up on the sofa afterwards, a hair removal glove is faster than a lint roller.

Climbing, Beds and Hiding

Cats use vertical space to feel safe and horizontal space to sleep, and they want both in the room where the family sits. A floor-to-ceiling tree with a dome adds height without losing floor space, while a foldable tunnel and a soft fluffy bed cover the hiding and sleeping halves of the day. In flats with balconies or windows that open, a safety net is the single most useful thing on this page. More towers, shelves and posts are grouped in cat trees and scratching posts.

Drinking and Mealtimes

Cats on a dry diet often run slightly short of water, and putting a second bowl beside the food rarely changes it. The Fontanello cordless fountain or the Detixy wireless fountain puts moving water somewhere away from the feeding station, which is usually what shifts the habit, and keeping spare carbon filters in the cupboard stops the changes being skipped. For cats that bolt their food, a slow feeder or a lick mat stretches the meal out. Bowls and stands sit in bowls, feeders and water.

Hunting Toys and Brushes

An indoor cat needs a hunt that ends in a catch, so several short bursts beat one long session, and finishing with food closes the sequence properly. Self-moving toys carry the times you cannot join in: the automatic toy snake, the Felineo Spinball 2.0 and the Purrnivo hunting mat all work that way, with more in toys and enrichment. Grooming is the other daily habit worth building: a corner massage brush lets a cat groom itself against the wall, and the combs, clippers and dental kit are in grooming and care.

Shopping the cat range: common questions

Still have a question?

How is this different from the For Cats page?

The stock is the same; the layout is not. This page shows the whole cat range as a single list you can sort and filter, which suits shopping by price or scanning for something specific, while for cats splits it into themed departments with advice on each choice. If you already know the category you want, going straight to something like litter boxes and accessories is quicker than either.

What do I need for a new kitten?

A low-sided tray, shallow dishes, a stable scratching surface and a warm bed. Tall towers and complicated toys can wait until the landings are reliable, usually a couple of months in. Start with something simple like a self-adhesive scratching mat so the habit forms on the right surface from the first week, and add climbing from cat trees and scratching posts once the kitten is confident on furniture.

How do I get my cat to drink more water?

Move the water away from the food, use a wide shallow dish so the whiskers do not touch the sides, and add movement. A wireless water fountain can go in a quiet corner without a cable across the floor, and wet food raises intake more than any bowl does. Keep spare carbon filters to hand, because a fountain that tastes stale gets ignored. A sudden increase in thirst is a reason to call the vet.

Which toys work when I am not at home?

Ones that move on their own and stop on their own. A automatic toy snake or a ball track keeps interest without a person holding the other end, and a food puzzle turns part of the daily ration into an activity. Rotate two or three items rather than leaving everything out, since a toy that is always available stops being prey. There are more options in toys and enrichment. String and wand toys should only come out when you are there.

How often should I brush my cat?

Long-haired cats need combing every two or three days all year, and daily through a moult, or the mats form behind the ears and under the legs where you cannot see them. Short-haired cats mostly need help in spring and autumn. A deshedding brush lifts the undercoat during those weeks, and a corner massage brush lets the cat do some of the work itself between sessions. Never cut a mat out with scissors; the skin lifts with it.
