Room for your dog
Measure your dog sitting and lying naturally, then compare the cabin rather than the outside frame. Larger folding strollers and compact models have different proportions. Extra bedding reduces usable room, so include it in the fit check.
One cabin or two?
The Detixy double stroller has two separate removable compartments. Check the limit for each compartment, not only the combined total. A shared cabin is a different choice and only works when both dogs fit and are comfortable together.
Know the conversion
Some models include removable carrier sections; others convert between walking and cycling. The large bike trailer has stroller functionality, while a standard pushchair cannot simply be attached to a bicycle. Check the supplied parts and instructions.
Start with a short trial
Introduce the cabin before a long outing, check closures and apply the brake while loading. Never leave your dog unattended. Dog carriers and backpacks are an alternative when carrying is more practical than manoeuvring wheels.
